Chives Cakes 韭菜餅

This mouth-watering tit-bit is a good choice for party tit-bits.
Easy to make and always gets wiped out.

Of course I might be a little biased as chives and beansprouts are my personal favorites. ;)

Chive Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
1. flour (120g)
2. rice flour (20g)
3. baking powder (1 tsp)
4. water (150ml)
5. chicken stock granule (2 tsp)
6. pepper (1/8 tsp)
7. bean sprouts (120g)
8. Chinese chives, sectioned. (1 stem)

Method:
1) Mix all ingredients until well combined. Rest for 30 minutes.

2) Heat up oil. Reheat a large soup ladle in the hot oil (so that the batter won't stick to the ladle). Scoop enough batter mixture and put into hot oil carefully. Deep fry over medium heat until the batter removes from the ladle. Fry until batter is afloat and turned golden brown. Dish up and drain well. Serve hot.
