Recipe videos are great for demonstrations, but they don't not come with the written ingredients and method.
Since I'll have to write down the ingredients and steps for myself anyways, I'm sharing them here.
Spicy Thai Chicken Wing Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp chili sauce (Sriracha)
- 1 1/2 lb chicken wings
- 3 cups oil
- a little water
Method
Deep frying the wings
- cut wings at joints. Remove tips.
- preheat oil to medium high
(note: do not deep fry at high heat as it won't cook through)
- deep fry for 7-8 minutes
- drain oil from wings
Preparing the sauce
- add 1 tsp oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir for 10 seconds until fragrant.
- add in the rest of ingredients, and a little water
- add in chicken wings and stir fry till the wings absorb the sauce
- add in chili sauce and stir fry for about 5-10 seconds.
- serve while hot
